Where all things concerning JCM Compass are posted: summaries and interesting stuff.

Just some of the things we learned: Put God first and lead others to Him. Know your boundaries. Be accountable to a Godly person.
The young adults were given the opportunity to reflect on the Seven Last Sayings of Jesus on the Cross on our Good Friday Service.
The Summary of the Gospel of John, where we learned that Jesus is the Son of God, and that only through him can we receive life.
I created a map of the Gospel of John so everyone can see more clearly the structure and main teachings of the gospel.
What is a Gospel and what is it for? Also, we read through chapters 1-2: the Prologue, John the Baptist, the Wedding at Cana, and Jesus Cleansing the Temple.
What are angels and demons? How are we to consider them? Do we have guardian angels?
If you think you are not conceited, it means you are very conceited indeed.
There is one God who eternally exists as three distinct Persons — the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
These are called “communicable” because we share them with God as children made in his image.
We recognize that God is our ultimate treasure and possession and that we put our hope in him.
We should all be able to get along fine without calling each other “legalists” or “compromisers”.
How God's ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts higher than our thoughts.
Nothing can separate us from the love that God has for us! He loved us in our creation and in our salvation, so that we may live with him satisfied.
The solution... is not to simply put all our focus on removing the false god; rather we should seek to replace these gods with the One True God who alone can give full and satisfying pleasure and happiness.
The gods at war video series challenges us with the thought that perhaps all sin springs from the same source – IDOLATRY
On July 24-26 the Compass Youth of JCM Church went on a weekend retreat at Spruce Lake, Canadensis, PA.
A short message on the difference between listening and actually following.
A message on why God is better and why we should look to him during difficult times in our lives.
In this race of faith don't just ask "Is it a sin?" but rather "Does it help me run?"

Old Testament
Genesis 1-3: The beginning of the universe, the creation of humanity in the image of God, and their fall into sin.
Genesis 12-15: The call of Abram from the land of Ur to Canaan, to begin the plan of God to redeem humanity.
Exodus 20: Abraham's descendants, the people of Israel, were rescued by God from slavery in Egypt through Moses. God makes a covenant (agreement) with the people.
Joshua 24: Joshua, Moses' successor, renews the covenant with Israel. God promises to bless them if they obey but bring disaster if they disobey.
2 Chronicles 36: Israel constantly disobeys and God brings the Babylonians to conquer Israel. Israel is exiled but soon returns back to their land.
Psalm 23: A psalm by David about God as a caring and faithful Shepherd.
Isaiah 53: A prophecy about God's promised Messiah who will finally rescue humanity from sin.
New Testament
Matthew 5-7: Jesus' famous Sermon on the Mount that taught the new upside-down teachings of the Kingdom of God.
Luke 1-2: The birth of the promised Messiah.
John 1-3: The Messiah is God and how grace and love was the reason for his coming.
John 18-20: The arrest, trial, crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
Acts 1-2: The birth of the Church, its mission to preach the Good News, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 1-3: Humanity's sin, God's righteousness and the Gospel.
Romans 6-8: After having faith in Jesus, we have a new life and a new hope.
1 Corinthians 13: We are called to the way of love towards others.
Hebrews 11-12: The meaning and example of faith, and the call to endurance.
Revelation 21-22: John's vision of the promised new heavens and the new earth.
